Amendment to the Mediation Board Act, No.72 of 1988

- The approval has been granted at the Cabinet meeting held on 2023-02-27 to amend the Mediation Board Act No.72 of 1988 by amending the provisions pertaining to the appointment of the members of the Mediation Board Commission, jurisdiction of Mediation Boards and by introducing some other relevant amendments. Accordingly, the Bill prepared by the Legal Draftsman has received the clearance of the Attorney General. The proposal made by the Minister of Justice, Prison Affairs and Constitutional Reforms to publish the said Bill in the Government Gazette and thereafter, submit it to Parliament for approval, was approved by the Cabinet.
