Establishment of 70MW, Alternative Current (AC) ground mounted solar Photovoltanic (PV) power plants with 1-5 MW capacity on build, own and operate basis

- Proposals have been called from prospective investors interested in establishing 70MW, Alternative Current (AC) ground mounted solar Photovoltanic (PV) power plants with 1-5 MW capacity on build, own and operate basis with 20 year operational period so as to connect 11 grid substations. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Power and Energy to grant approval to the relevant investors to implement projects for 08 grid substations of Ampara, Anuradhapura, Galle, Habarana, Kurunegala Madampe, Maho and Matara, based on the recommendations submitted by the Cabinet Appointed Negotiating Committee after evaluation of their proposals, was approved by the Cabinet.
