Accession to the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons

- The approval has been granted at the Cabinet meeting on 2021-12-20 to take necessary action to sign the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs to sign he Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons by Sri Lanka at the Conference held with related to the said Treaty in parallel to the UN General Assembly scheduled to be conducted in New York in September 2023, was approved by the Cabinet.
