Submission of Regulations under section 107A of the Customs Ordinance

- The Cabinet at its meeting held on 2022‑08‑01 has granted approval to encourage migrant workers to send their remittances through legal channels. Accordingly, the Minister of Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policies has published in the Government Gazette, the "Passengers' Baggage (Exemption - Inward) Regulations No.01 of 2023" under section 107A of the Customs Ordinance in order to give effect to the incentives awarded by the Ministry of Labour and Foreign Employment. The proposal made by the Hon. President in his capacity as the Minister of Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policies to submit the said Regulations issued in terms of the provisions of the Customs Ordinance, to Parliament for approval, was approved by the Cabinet.
