Submission of Orders published in the Gazette to Parliament for approval

- The Minister of Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policies has published through the Government Gazette, 03 Orders to revise the Customs Import Duty under the under the Revenue Protection Act, No.19 of 1962 and 04 Orders under the Special Commodity Levy Act, No.48 of 2007 in the process of implementation of the Government policy decisions to stabilize the market price of essential food items and facilitate local farmers. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Hon. President in his capacity as the Minister of Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policies to submit the said Orders to Parliament for approval, was approved by the Cabinet.
