Entering into a Memorandum of Understanding for the Technical Cooperation between the Ceylon Electricity Board and the Japan Electric Power Information Centre

- The Ceylon Electricity Board has been cooperating with the Japan Electric Power Information Centre since 2018 and a technical cooperation programme has also been implemented in 2019. Both parties have agreed to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding to implement a technical cooperation programme from the year 2023 so that they can engage in multiple knowledge sharing programmes, based on the cooperation so created. The draft Memorandum of Understanding on the proposed technical cooperation for the purpose has been prepared in accordance with the observations of the Attorney General and the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Power and Energy to sign the said MoU, was approved by the Cabinet.
