Guidelines prepared as per the provisions of the Office on the Missing Persons Act

- In terms of the provisions mentioned in section 11(c) of the Office on the Missing Persons (Establishment, Administration and Discharge of Functions) Act No.14 of 2016, the rules and guidelines should be issued from time to time incorporating the policies to be followed relating to excise and discharge of powers, duties and functions of the that Office. Accordingly, the relevant Guidelines have been prepared considering the observations and recommendations of the Attorney General and it was decided to grant the concurrence of the Cabinet to the said Guidelines submitted by the Minister of Justice, Prison Affairs and Constitutional Reforms.
