Revision of water and sewerage tariffs

- Financial viability and sustainability of the National Water Supply & Drainage Board have to be ensured, enabling to achieve the objectives of expanding the access to safe water and sanitation, improve service quality and implement sustainable water resource management practices. Accordingly, taking into consideration the proposal made by the Minister of Water Supply & Estate Infrastructure Development, Cabinet decided to grant approval to revise the water and sewerage tariffs, causing a minimum impact to the social security base provided to low income earning categories in relation to the education, religious and public water supply.
