Bill to amend the approved Borrowing Limit for the Financial Year 2023

- Approval of the Cabinet has been granted at the meting held on 2023‑06‑28 to amend the approved borrowing limit for the financial year 2023. Accordingly, a Bill has been drafted by the Legal Draftsman to amend the Appropriation Act, No.43 of 2022 and the clearance of the Attorney General has been received for the same. The proposal made by the Hon. President in his capacity as the Minister of Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policies, to publish the said Bill in the Government Gazette, and thereafter present it in Parliament for approval, was approved by the Cabinet.
