Signing of a Joint Declaration of Intent between the Government of India and the Government of Sri Lanka for Cooperation in the field of Animal Husbandry and Dairying

- It has been proposed to sign a Joint Declaration of Intent between the Government of India and the Government of Sri Lanka for Cooperation in the field of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, to work together in order to enhance the quality of milk production in Sri Lanka, achieve self-sufficiency in milk production and increase the income of smallholder farmers. Clearance of the Attorney General has been received to the Joint Declaration drafted for that purpose. Accordingly, the joint proposal made by the Hon. President and the Minister of Agriculture to sign the said Declaration of Intent, was approved by the Cabinet.
