Amendment to the Civil Procedure Code (Chapter 101)

- Approval of the Cabinet has been granted at the meeting held on 2022‑10‑10 to publish the Civil Procedure Code (Amendment) Bill in the Government Gazette and present the same in Parliament. Further, the Civil Law Reforms Sub Committee of the Ministry of Justice, Prison Affairs and Constitutional Reforms has identified several amendments to be added to the said Bill. The clearance of the Attorney General has been received for the final draft prepared by the Legal Draftsman also incorporating the said amendments. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Justice, Prison Affairs and Constitutional Reforms to publish the said Bill in the Government Gazette and thereafter, present the same in Parliament, was approved by the Cabinet.
