Establishment of Gambling Regulatory Authority

- It has been identified the necessity to establish a regulatory entity called Gambling Regulatory Authority effecting all gambling operators for purposes such as proper collection of expected taxes revenues from gambling, preventing criminal actions related to gambling activities and reducing the negative consequences that may cause to individuals and society due to gambling. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Hon. President in his capacity as the Minister of Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policies to instruct the Legal Draftsman to prepare a Bill to establish the Gambling Regulatory Authority, was approved by the Cabinet.
