Social Security Contribution Levy (Amendment) Bill

- Approval was granted to introduce several amendments to the Social Security Contribution Levy Act, No. 25 of 2022 and to instruct the Legal Draftsman to prepare an amended Bill for the same, at the Cabinet meeting held on 2023-01-30. Accordingly, the Attorney General's clearance has been received for the Social Security Contribution Levy (Amendment) Bill prepared by the Legal Draftsman. The proposal made by the Hon. President in his capacity as the Minister of Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policy, to publish the said Bill in the Government Gazette and then present the same in Parliament for approval, was approved by the Cabinet.
