Updating the Regulations pertaining to the Company Secretaries under the Companies Act No. 07 of 2007

- Since all the services rendered by the Department of Registrar of Companies are provided through online system, it has been identified the necessity to amend the Regulations pertaining to Company Secretaries made by the Minister in charge under the provisions of the Companies Act No. 17 of 1982 in order to maintain the said activities properly. Accordingly, taking into consideration the views and suggestions of the relevant stakeholders and Advisory Committee, amended Regulations pertaining to Company Secretaries have been published through the Gazette Notification No. 2323/41 dated 2023‑03‑17. As such, the proposal made by the Minister of Industries to submit the said Regulations to Parliament for approval, was approved by the Cabinet.
