Conducting the 45th Asian Conference on Remote Sensing in Sri Lanka

- Realizing the importance of Remote Sensing Technology in national development activities, countries of the Asian - Pacific Region have formed the Asian Association on Remote Sensing. This Organization in which Sri Lanka is also a founding member is comprised of several member groups such as ordinary members, associate members and sustaining members. It has been proposed to hold the 45th Asian Conference on Remote Sensing throughout 05 days in Colombo during October-November 2024. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Tourism and Lands, to hold the said conference in Sri Lanka, was approved by the Cabinet.
