Memorandum of Understanding between the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Yunnan Province of the People's Republic of China and the Department of External Resources of Sri Lanka

- During the visit of Mr. Wang Yubo, Governor of Yunnan Province of the People's Republic of China, to Sri Lanka, from 16 to 20 May, 2023, it is proposed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Yunnan Province of the People's Republic of China and the Department of Foreign Resources of Sri Lanka. The Memorandum of Understanding is expected to provide support to Sri Lanka in the fields of mutual travel, economy, trade and commerce, education, tourism, agriculture, people-to-people and cultural exchange, people's livelihood and health. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Hon. President in his capacity as the Minister of Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policy to sign the said Memorandum of Understanding, was approved by the Cabinet.
