Hiring a Maintenance and Emergency Response Vessel (MERV) for the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation

- The Cabinet at its meeting held on 2022‑11‑21 has granted approval to obtain a Maintenance and Emergency Response Vessel for the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation on hiring basis following the International Competitive Bidding Procedure. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Power and Energy to award the contract for operating a Maintenance and Emergency Response Vessel (MERV) to M/s Sri Lanka Shipping Company Limited on hiring basis for a period of two years from 2023‑06‑01 as per the recommendation of the Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
