State-Owned Enterprises Restructuring Policy

- Approval of the Cabinet has been granted at its meeting held on 2022‑09‑05 to establish the State-Owned Enterprises Restructuring Unit under the Ministry of Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policies in order to provide guidance and assist pertaining to the restructuring of State-Owned Enterprises. Accordingly, the State-Owned Enterprises Restructuring Policy has been prepared aiming to improve the quality, price and accessibility of goods and services provided by the state owned Enterprises, eliminate the fiscal burden caused to the General Treasury by the said enterprises and create a competitive and market based business environment to attract private investments. As such, the proposal made by the Hon. Prime Minister in his capacity as the Minister of Finance, Economic Stabilization and national Policies to take future action on the restructuring of State‑Owned enterprises based on the said policy, was approved by the Cabinet.
