Amendments to the Tea, Rubber and Coconut Estates (Control of Fragmentation) Act

- The Hon. President presented a proposal in the Budget 2023 to amend the existing legal provisions by imposing restrictions, enabling the fragmentation of coconut lands only of one acre or less. The proposal made by the Minister of Plantation Industries to take necessary action to amend the Tea, Rubber and Coconut Estates (Control of Fragmentation) Act in order to provide provisions accordingly, was approved by the Cabinet.
