Providing relief to the public officers who are entitled to the political rights and had submitted the nominations for the Local Authorities Election

- The proposal made by the Hon. Prime Minister in his capacity as the Minister of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils and Local Government, taking into consideration the observations submitted by the Election Commission regarding the measures that should be taken in relation to public officers who are candidates for the Local Authorities Election 2023 until the election is held, to provide the opportunity for such candidates, if they are serving in a Government/Semi-Government Institution located within the Local Authority Area in which they contest as candidates at the said Election, to report for duty by transferring them to Government/Semi-Government Institutions located outside the relevant Local Authority Area, was approved by the Cabinet.
