Entering into a Memorandum of Understanding for the establishment of a Maldives Cultural Center in Sri Lanka

- A proposal has been made to establish a cultural center of the Republic of Maldives in Sri Lanka for the purposes of providing training opportunities for cultural and artistic activities and facilitation for the sports, exhibitions, concerts, seminars, public addresses, films and other audiovisual productions. Both parties have agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding for the purpose and the clearance of the Attorney General has been received for the draft MoU. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs to sign the said MoU, was approved by the Cabinet.
