Amending the existing Air Transport Agreement between Sri Lanka and Israel

- Sri Lanka and Israel have entered into an Air Transport Agreement on 2003‑08‑24 and the two party has reached to a consensus to amend the said agreement at the International Civil Air Services Negotiations Conference held on 2016‑12‑06 in Nassau, Bahamas. Although, approval of the Cabinet has been granted previously at its meeting held on 2021‑01‑11 to sign the Protocol for the purpose, it has not yet been signed. The clearance of the Attorney General and the concurrence of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have been received for the relevant draft Protocol. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Ports, Shipping and Aviation to sign the Protocol for amending the Air Transport Agreement that has already been signed between Sri Lanka and Israel and to authorize Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Israel to sign the said Protocol on behalf of the Government of Sri Lanka, was approved by the cabinet.
