- Bids have been invited under national competitive bidding procedure for the operation of a restaurant of international food chain and/or a shop for international branded apparel and accessories in the departure/transit area at Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake and 3 bids have been submitted. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Ports, Shipping and Aviation to award the respective contract to M/s.Flemingo Duty Free (Pvt) Ltd, the substantially responsive highest evaluated bidder as per the recommendation of the Standing Cabinet Approved Procurement Committee for a period of 3 years at the total amount of USD 2,502,624.00, was approved by the Cabinet.
