Buyback of Shares from the Shareholders of the Tea Shakthi Fund to the Tea Shakthi Fund

- The proposal on the buyback of Shares from the Shareholders of the Tea Shakthi Fund to the Tea Shakthi Fund was taken up for discussion at the Cabinet Meeting held on 2022‑09‑22. In that meeting, it has been decided that the recommendations of the Committee appointed to make decisions on the matters related to the Tea Shakthi Fund should be obtained in the first instance. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Plantation Industries to transfer the relevant share ownership to the Tea Shakthi Fund by paying back the nominal value of Rs.10 per share and utilize the earned funds of the Tea Shakthi Fund for the purpose, was approved by the Cabinet.
