Amendment to Section 6 (3) (e) of the Civil Aviation Act No.14 of 2010

- It has been identified that, opening up the sectors of aeronautical services for public‑private participation and investment promotion by private entities in these sectors will contribute for the rapid development of such sectors and for the betterment of the Aviation industry as a whole. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Port, Shipping and Aviation to instruct the Legal Draftsman to amend the Civil Aviation Act, No.14 of 2010 enabling one or more persons to be appointed as service providers for providing the aeronautical services, was approved by the Cabinet.
