Procedure related to Areca Nut Industry

- The proposals on export of locally produced Areca Nuts and importation of dried Areca Nuts and re‑exportation after value addition have been deliberated at the Cabinet meeting held on 2023‑03‑13 and an Officials Committee has been appointed under the Chairmanship of Senior Economic Advisor to the President to submit a report with recommendations to the Cabinet after examining the matters thereon. Accordingly, as recommended by the said Committee, it was decided to grant approval to the procedure for export of locally produced Areca Nuts and the import of Areca Nuts for value added exports re-exportation after value addition.
