Amendment to the Carriage by Air Act, No.29 of 2018

- The Cabinet at its meeting held on 2022‑08‑22 has granted approval to amend the Carriage by Air Act, No.29 of 2018 to modify the legal framework pertaining to the protection of domestic aviation, to ensure the passenger safety and to identify the liability limits for the domestic aviation. The clearance of the Attorney General has been received to the Carriage by Air Bill prepared accordingly by the Legal Draftsman. As such, the proposal made by the Minister of Ports, Shipping and Aviation to publish the said Bill in the Government Gazette and submit the same thereafter in Parliament for Approval, was approved by the Cabinet.
