Anti-Terrorism Bill

- The Cabinet has previously granted approval for the introduction of a new Act to replace the existing Prevention of Terrorism (Temporary Provisions) Act No.48 of 1979. Accordingly, the clearance of the Attorney General has been received for the Bill prepared by the Legal Draftsman.As such, the proposal made by the Minister of Justice, Prison Affairs and Constitutional Reforms to publish the said Bill in the Government Gazette and submit the same thereafter, to Parliament for approval, was approved by the Cabinet.
