Issuing of Treasury Bonds in Settlement of Outstanding Bills

- A Committee has been appointed by the Secretary to the Treasury as instructed by the Hon. President, to resolve the issues relating to due payments/unpaid bills of the Ministries and Government Institutions. The Committee Report has recommended issuing Treasury Bonds in place of the settlement of dues in Rupee terms to the Suppliers/Contractors to comfort both the market as well as the Treasury's cash flow operations. Accordingly, the proposal submitted by the Hon. President in his capacity as the Ministry of Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policies to take necessary actions in this matter, was approved by the Cabinet.
