Maintaining essential Public Services in the most difficult financial circumstances

- The Government revenue has dropped down to a value of 8.3% of the Gross Domestic Product due to the prevailing economic crisis. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Hon. President in his capacity as the Minister of Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policies to instruct the Secretary to the Treasury to take necessary action to release imprest only for the most essential recurrent expenditure to be incurred to maintain public services until the condition returns to normalcy, was approved by the Cabinet.
