Finance (Special Provisions) Bill

- The requirement of introducing a Bill in view of proper management of funds available in the State institutions was submitted to Parliament through a proposal in Interim Budget 2022 by the Hon. President in his capacity as the Minister of Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policies. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Hon. President to instruct the Legal Draftsman to prepare a Bill to systematically monitor the statutory funds maintained by Ministries, Departments, and other State Institutions and implement a programme for the same, was approved by the Cabinet.
