Amendments to the Partition Act

- The Cabinet at its meeting held on 2021‑10‑05 has granted approval to prepare a Bill to amend the Partition Act incorporating provisions that suit with present day needs. Accordingly, the clearance of the Attorney General has been received to the drafted Bill. As such, the proposal made by the Minister of Justice, Prison Affairs and Constitutional Reforms to publish the said Bill in the Government Gazette and submit the same, thereafter in Parliament, was approved by the Cabinet.
