Payment of Salaries of Public Officers

- Implementation of new revenue proposals of the Government for the year 2023 has commenced and since it takes certain period of time to collect income generated through that, the Government expenditure has to be managed for the next few months from January to be suited with the limits of Government cash flow. Accordingly, the Hon. President in his capacity as the Minister of Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policies brought to the notice of the Cabinet the steps taken by the General Treasury pertaining to the payment of monthly salaries of Non-executive officers on due date and the payment of the salaries of executive officers few days later to the due date and the Cabinet granted its concurrence to the same.
