Invitation for the Expression of Interest to commence business activities by using the facilities of the Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport

- According to the layout of the Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport, there is a potential for converting the said Airport into a multi-purpose business center by implementing business opportunities related to aviation and as well as non-aviation related activities. Therefore, attention has been focused on taking measures to effectively utilize the facilities and assets in the Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport by creating public-private partnership investment opportunities. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Ports, Shipping and Aviation to invite Expressions of Interest from investors and strategic entrepreneurs in direct and indirect aviation related ventures to carry out aeronautical and non-aeronautical businesses at the Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport, was approved by the Cabinet.
