Ratification of Cape Town Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment and the Protocol to the Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment on Matters Specific to Aircraft Equipment

- The Cape Town Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment and the Protocol to the Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment on Matters Specific to Aircraft Equipment was entered into in the year 2001 under the auspices of the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law and the International Civil Aviation Organization. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Ports, Shipping and Aviation to take action to rectify the said Convention and to make necessary legislation to implement the relevant provisions within Sri Lanka, was approved by the Cabinet.
