Signing the Second Additional Protocol to the "Convention on Cybercrime on Enhanced Co-operation and Disclosure of Electronic Evidence" (Budapest Cybercrime Convention)

- Sri Lanka is a signatory in the European Convention on Cybercrime on Enhanced Co‑operation and Disclosure of Electronic Evidence which is called as the "Budapest Cybercrime Convention" and the said Convention is in force from 2015‑09‑01. A signing ceremony for the Second Additional Protocol is scheduled to be conducted in Strasbourg, France on 2022‑11‑30, and as such, the joint proposal made by the Minister of Justice, Prison Affairs and Constitutional Reforms and the Minister of Foreign Affairs to sign the said protocol, was approved by the Cabinet.
