Proclamation of the National Day for Biosphere Reserves

- The UNESCO General Assembly has declared 03rd November in each year as the “Day for Biosphere Reserves”. The UNESCO has indicated that action should be taken by its member states to draw the attention of the people to encourage them for the protection of Biosphere Reserves. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Education to declare 03rd November in each year as the “National Day for Biosphere Reserves”, was approved by the Cabinet.
