Bill to amend the Borrowing Limit for the Financial Year 2022

- The Cabinet at its meeting held on 2022‑10‑17 has granted approval to prepare a Bill to revise the approved borrowing limit for the year 2022. The clearance of the Attorney General has been received to the draft Bill prepared by the Legal Draftsman accordingly. As such, the proposal made by the Hon. President in his capacity as the Minister of Minister of Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policies to publish the said Bill in the Government Gazette and submit the same thereafter in Parliament for approval, was approved by the Cabinet.
