Press briefing of Cabinet Decision taken on 2022-10-31

Recommendations submitted to the Hon. President by the Finance Commission relating to the year 2023

- In terms of the provisions of the Constitution of Sri Lanka, the recommendations for the financial year 2023 have been submitted to the President by the Finance Commission. Accordingly, taking into consideration the proposals made by the Hon. President, the Cabinet granted approval to take appropriate measures to implement the said recommendations made by the Finance Commission and to submit the said recommendations to Parliament in terms of Article 154R(7) of the Constitution.
