Rathanatissa Peace Foundation (Incorporation) Bill

- The (Incorporation) Bill of Rathnatissa Peace Foundation of which Rev. Eriyawe Rathanathissa Thero, the Chief Incumbent of Sri Vapikaramaya, Palukadawala, Galgamuwa holds the post of Executive Director, has been submitted to Parliament as a Private Member's Bill by Hon. U.K Sumith Udukumbura, Member of Parliament of Kurunegala District. The said Bill has been referred to the Minister of Education as the Minister in charge of the subject, for obtaining a report in that regard in terms of the provisions of the Standing Order 52(6) of Parliament. The clearance of the Attorney General has been received for the Bill drafted by the Legal Draftsman. Accordingly, the Cabinet granted its approval for the proposal made by the Minister of Education to submit a report to Parliament recommending the said Bill.
