Declaration of the National Supply Chain Day

- The overall process of transforming raw materials into final products, is called Supply Chain Management and it enables to maximize customer value and actively streamline the supply-side activities of a business in order to obtain competitive advantages in the marketplace. The Institute of Supply and Material Management has pointed out the appropriateness of declaring a National Supply Chain Day with the objective of increasing the awareness amongest the domestic businesses and enterprises on the importance of developing supply chains. As such, the proposal made by the Minister of Industries to declare 24th October of each year as the “National Supply Chain Day”, was approved by the Cabinet.
