Amending the Ayurveda Act

- Ayurveda Act No.31 of 1961 has been previously amended from time to time and it has been found the need to further amend the said Act, enabling to meet the sustainable development goals and the timely requirements. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Health to amend the Ayurveda Act incorporating appropriate provisions for the expansion of the services of the Ayurveda Department for the advancement of the field of indigenous medicine and for the establishment of Research Herbal Gardens etc, was approved by the Cabinet.
