Project for the Rehabilitation of the Suriyakanda - Rakwana (A017) Road Corridor of the Galle - Deniyaya - Madampe Road

- A Loan Agreement has been entered into with the OPEC Fund for International Development for the rehabilitation of the road section up to Suriyakanda - Rakwana of the Galle - Deniyaya - Madampe Road. Rehabilitation activities of the said road section is scheduled to be carried out under three (03) contract packages. Among them, two (02) contract packages fall under the threshold limit of the Ministerial Procurement Committee and the other contract package is under to the threshold limit of the Cabinet. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Transport and Highways to award the contract package falling under the threshold limit of the Cabinet, to K.D.A. Weerasinghe & Company (Pvt.) Ltd., was approved by the Cabinet.
