Awarding of contract for the construction of the National College of Education for Technological Stream to be established in Narangalla, Kuliyapitiya on a Korean Grant

- The Cabinet at its meeting held on 2017‑01‑18 has granted approval to establish a National College of Education for Technological Stream in the Narangalla area in Kuliyapitiya under a Grant of the Korean Government and local funds. Nevertheless, construction activities entrusted to the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) could not be initiated until the end of November, 2021 on various reasons. The KOICA has agreed to assign the said construction activities to the Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau as a direct contract. As such, the proposal made by the Minister of Education to assign the relevant contract to the Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau, was approved by the Cabinet.
