Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Malaysia and the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka on recruitment, employment and repatriation of workers

- A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed in the year 2016 between the Government of Malaysia and the Government of Sri Lanka for the recruitment, employment and repatriation of workers and the validity period of the said MoU has expired on 2021‑12‑15. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Labour and Foreign Employment to sign a new Agreement by extending the said MoU enabling to implement the said programme further, was approved by the Cabinet.
