Implementation of a Solar Power Project in the land where Trincomalee Transmission Station of the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation is situated

- The Cabinet at its meeting held on 2022‑01‑18 has granted approval to utilize the land where the Short Wave Transmission Center of the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation is housed belonging to the Kuchchaveli Divisional Secretariat Division for a Solar Power Generation Project. Accordingly, project proposals have been invited to select a suitable investor and 07 proposals have been received. The Technical Evaluation Committee appointed to evaluate the said proposals has recommended the 3W Power Management Ltd as the most suitable investor to implement the relevant project. As such, the proposal made by the Minister of Mass Media to implement the said project in collaboration with the said investor, was approved by the Cabinet.
