Providing uniform materials for school children for the year 2023

- Uniform materials for the year 2023 has to be provided to school children before the end of the term of academic year 2022. As per a request made by the Government of Sri Lanka from the People's Republic of China, it has been agreed to provide a part of uniform requirement for the year 2023 as a grant. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Education to purchase the rest of uniform materials from the local textile manufactures required in addition to the grant to be provided by the Government of China and to meet the uniform requirement for the year 2023, was approved by the cabinet.
