Allocation of a block of land belonging to the Department of Sri Lanka Railways to the Nawalapitiya Al-Safa Primary School

- Nawalapitiya Al-Safa Primary School has been built in the year 2013 under the 1000 secondary school re-establishment programme and the building space required for that have been fulfilled by a warehouse belonging to the Nawalapitiya Railway Station. It has been identified the necessity of constructing permanent buildings since the space available in the said building is not adequate with the increase of number of students. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Minister of Education and the Minister of Transport and Highways to legally allocate a block of land in extent of 02 acres located in Karahandungala in Godamuduna, Nawalapitiya belonging to the the Department of Sri Lanka Railways to the said school, was approved by the Cabinet.
