Establishment of Cabinet Sub-Committee on Cost of Living and Establishment of the Food Security Committee

- Cabinet approved the proposal made by the Hon. President to establish the Cabinet Sub‑Committee on Cost of Living under the chairmanship of the Hon. President to recommend necessary policy and pragmatic solutions to the Cabinet of Ministers for maintaining the stability of the cost of living, whilst ensuring that food and other essential materials are supplied to the market without shortage in the face of the current economic situation in the country and to establish the Food Security Council to assist the said committee, under the chairmanship of the Minister of Trade, Commerce and Food Security.
