Establishment of Cabinet Sub-Committees

- It has been found appropriate to establish Cabinet Sub‑Committees, enabling to devote more time at the Meetings of the Cabinet of Ministers to take policy decisions and to submit recommendations on Cabinet Memoranda forwarded in relation to the fields where decisions have to be taken after an in‑depth study pertaining to legal and other issues contained therein. Accordingly, Cabinet approved the proposals made by the Hon. President to establish the Cabinet Sub‑Committee on Public Expenditure Management under the chairmanship of the Hon. President to submit policy recommendations regarding public expenditure proposals such as commencement of new projects and procurement activities to the Cabinet and to establish the Cabinet Sub‑Committee on Establishment Matters under the chairmanship of the Hon. Prime Minister to submit policy recommendations to the Cabinet having studied on the proposals submitted regarding the establishment matters such as appointments, promotions, transfers and disciplinary actions in the public service.
